Essay

The thesis deals with the investigation of chemical, biological and morphological features and the biological activity in vitro of anemophilous pollen of Betula verrucosa Ehrh. Pollen is collected from the parks, forests, roadside stands and the aerodrome populations in Kyiv and Rivne regions of Ukraine and at the city of Nitra, the Slovak Republic and the complex influence of environmental factors of the habitats of trees on the allergenic (Bet v 1 gene expression level, pollen contamination with heavy metals, microorganisms, mycotoxins) and adaptogenic (content of protein, lipid fatty acid, ascorbic acid, flavonoid compounds) potential of pollen is investigated. Silver birch pollen is considered as a biological contaminant, bioindicator and raw materials for the production of regional diagnostic and therapeutic allergen.
