Karaulna V. Agroecological assessment of contamination of components of food chains with persistent organic pollutants

The thesis is devoted carrying out agroecological assessment of contamination of soil and component sof food chains with persistent organic pollutants. The process of migration of organochlorine pesticides in the soil - plant - livestock products (milk) was investigated. Established that soils of sanitary zones of pesticides' warehouses in the Kyiv region are dangerous sources of persistent organic pollutants in the food chains. Areas of contaminated land were evaluated. The ability of wild and cultivated plants to extraction of persistent organochlorine pollutants from the soil and accumulation them in the biomass was studied. Proved that significant number of organochlorine pesticides in cow milk is the result of grazing animals on the contaminated areas. Was continued development of the doctrine about the destruction of persistent organic pesticides. The method of anaerobic decomposition of plants contaminated with DDT and its metabolites in conditions of biogas' producing was worked out.
