Essay

The floristic and phytocoenotic features of forest and shrub vegetation of the Northern Black Sea were investigated. Syntaxonomic diversity of vegetation was studied using Braun-Blanquet method. It includes 9 classes, 10 orders, 16 unions, 41 associations, 28 sub-associations, 8 rankless and 16 derivative communities. Of them, 1 class, 1 order, 4 unions, 26 associations and 27 sub-associations are described. Phytocoenotic tables of syntaxa are provided, floristic composition and syntaxa affinities are analyzed.
