Novosad K. A rarety of the urban flora Component of Kyiv megapolіs.

This thesis focuses on the rare urban flora constituent of Kyiv megalopolis containing 151 species of vascular plants with international, national and regional phytosozological status. Taxonomic, geographic, biomorphological, eco-coenotic, ecological, and eco-topological analyses of rare flora fund have been performed, and sozological value of floristic complexes has been found. Spatial types of rare species' populations have been explored together with trends of their changing under the influence of urban anthropopression. Biomorphological characteristics and demographic structure of model species' populations have been studied, natural and anthropogenic reasons for rarity have been analyzed, and measures for protection have been justified. Sozological evaluation of rare constituent on the population level has been carried out, and phytosozological representativeness of regional natural and reserved area network has been analyzed. The measures for preserving rare species of Kyiv megalopolis have been proposed in situ and ex situ.
