Mayistrenko N. Energy consumption forecast methods with consideration of structural changes in the economy

Based on the combination of normative and two-stage methods of forecasting the future demand for energy resources, the existing calculation procedure was improved with regard to forecast levels of consumption of fuel and energy resources with due consideration of demand and structural changes in the economy, allowing for the calculation of the projected consumption of fuel and energy for the product market needs. For the first time it was proposed to single out the group of energy efficiency indicators at four different levels of the economy management for the calculation of the levels of consumption of fuel and energy resources by production works, types of economic activity and national economy as a whole. For each of these levels the calculation procedure was developed to forecast the energy consumption levels with due consideration of the demand, the forecast demand for fuel and energy resources was determined.
