Zharka A. Progress, pathogenesis and efficacy of treatment of rheumatoid arthritis that began in childhood and adulthood; evolution of juvenile idiopathic arthritis

The study object includes peculiarities of the course, pathogenesis and treatment efficacy of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) which began in adulthood and childhood; the study objective is to determine peculiarities of the course, pathogenesis and treatment efficacy of RA which began in adulthood and childhood; study methods include clinical, radiographic, ultrasonic, electrophysiological, immunobiochemical, immunoenzymometric, physico-chemical, atomic emission and atomic absorption spectrometry, and statistical methods; novelty and results - for the first time we have proven the peculiarities of clinical, laboratory, radiographic, densitometric, and ultrasound signs of lesions of individual joints, periarticular tissues, lymph nodes, thyroid gland, internal organs and the nervous system in RA which began in adulthood and childhood, for the first time we have demonstrated the dimorphism of osteodeficiency in these groups of patients, have established the character of evolution of juvenile idiopathic arthritis, for the first time in patients with different age onset of RA the differences have been identified in content of rheumatoid factor and antibodies to cyclic citrullinated peptide, autoimmune proteins in blood, adsorption and rheological properties of blood and osteoassociated factors, their role in pathogenetic formations of the disease; we have been developed the most optimal medical approaches of pathogenetic therapy of the disease which began in adulthood and childhood, have marked in these patient groups the criteria allowing for prognosis of the course of the disease and the efficacy of treatment measures; implemented into practice of the Municipal Institution "Center of Primary Health Care No. 2 of Kramatorsk", Training and Research Medical Complex "The University Clinic" of Kharkov National Medical University, Rheumatologic Department of Vinnitsa Regional Clinical Hospital named after N. I. Pirogov, as well as educational process of Donetsk National Medical University of Maxim Gorky, Vinnitsa National Medical University named after N. I. Pirogov and Kharkov National Medical University; scope - treatment and diagnostic process of rheumatologic and therapeutic departments, research and educational processes of therapeutic departments of medical educational institutions.
