Object of research: the phase-structural transformations in low-alloy constructional steels after heat treatment in ICTI. Subject of research: the methods and modes of heat treatment with heating in ICTI. Research methods: creation of the thermo-kinetic diagrams, metallographic, x-ray diffraction phase analysis, transmission and scanning electron microscopy, determination of mechanical properties and abrasive wear resistance, mathematical modeling. The thesis solved the important scientific and technical task of energy saving during heat treatment hypoeutectoid low-alloyed structural steels by decreasing the heating temperature in the ICTI and at that reduce or exclude certain of its operations. An idea about the formation of the structure of the widely used structural steels after different heat treatment with heating in ICTI, which is not usually used, was developed further. In some cases they obtained an increased complex of mechanical properties and wear resistance due to the multiphase structure that includes (at the optimum proportions) martensite and/or bainite, ferrite, carbides and, along with other components, metastable austenite, which transform in martensite under loading, that provides the TRIP-effect.
