Essay

The physiological and biochemical parameters of Calamagrostis epigeios (L.) Roth adaptation and population characteristics of the existence under conditions of dumps ecotopes are defined. It is shown that adaptive capacity of Calamagrostis epigeios (L.) Roth to abiotic factors of coal mines waste heaps are assotiated on the organismal level (with changes in photosynthetic apparatus and accumulation of stress-related compounds: aminoacids, phenols, carbohydrates) and population level (changes in ontogenesis, age structure, generative and vegetative reproduction).
