Veshchypan O. Organization of negative trends recognition in economic development of regions of Ukraine

The thesis is devoted to improving the theoretical and methodological support of negative trends recognition in the economic development of regions of Ukraine. On the basis of summarizing world experience of implementing the concept of sustainable development the region stable development concept was clarified. The classification criteria in terms of regional stability were proposed, allowing to analyze the stability of Ukraine's regions. There was identified the lack of stable regions in terms of growth rates. The work improved methodological tools to assess the stability of regions, the formation of economic developments index. It was shown that in periods of instability and crisis the interregional unevenness decreased. The work developed methodological support system construction to identify negative trends in economic development of the regions at the early stages of their occurrence. The system of composite index of leading, coincident and lagged economic development indicators that make possible the development of negative trends forecast for Kharkiv and conclude their extension. Recommendations on the organization of the process of negative trends recognition were proposed, allowing to implement them in regional departments of state statistic service.
