Essay

The thesis is devoted to solving scientific and technical problems aimed at reducing harmful emissions and fuel consumption of petrol engines at modes of low load and idling by using hydrogen-containing gas additive to air charge. To determine the effect of hydrogen-containing gas additive on the fuel efficiency and environmental performance of engines a research of gasoline engines with different systems of power at work in modes of low loads and idling with various amount of hydrogen-containing gas additives was conducted. The studies have shown that the addition of a hydrogen-containing gas reduces time and specific fuel consumption, reduces the total mass emissions of harmful substances in exhaust gases.
