The dissertation is devoted to determining the patterns of changes the strength characteristics of loess soils, that form the basis of buildings and structures. The hydrogeological conditions and prolonged exposures of dynamic loads are taken into account for further consideration of these parameters in the design of rational parameters of arrangement and protection of buildings and structures in the area of long-acting dynamic loads. The full-scale measurements with vibrometer VM 6360 were made and quantitative characteristics of ground vibration from rail transport in terms of Dnepropetrovs'k city were obtained. Laboratory investigation the soil of different humidity, that was varied w=11...22% were studied under the action of short and long-term static and dynamic loads with different acceleration a=0...4,3g m/s2. The patterns of changing the strength characteristics of loess subsiding soil - cohesion and internal friction angle are received. The numerical model of geotechnical system "building - heterogeneous soil mass" to estimate the parameters of stress-strain state of loess soil array, that is the foun-dation of the building, was developed. The parameters of protective shield for impacted by dynamic loads facilities are justified. The developed techniques and recommendations are implemented in design institutes and construction firms of Dnipropetrovs'k city.
