Thesis for a scientific degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences in specialty 05.15.09 - Geotechnical and Mining Mechanical Engineering. - State Higher Educational Institution "National Mining University", Dnipropetrovsk, 2016. In the thesis the actual scientific and technical problem of accurate stability calculation technique of soil slopes in terms of the groundwater level raising is solved. The techniques of soil slopes stability calculation are proposed and confirmed. They are based on the interpretation of the factor of safety as the lowest value of the functional minimum values, that obtained as the ratio of the retaining and shearing forces sums; the ratio of these forces projections on the coordinate axis and the ratio of retaining and shearing moments sums; using correcting multipliers and the full range of design characteristics of soil properties and loads. The relationship between the underground water level and the slope factor of safety is obtained. Obtained technique of slope stability calculation, based on the investigations relationships, are used in the Dnepropetrovsk slopes protecting programs in "DniproNDIINTIZ" - "UKRNDIINTIZ" DA SE and designing stone throwed dam, which is located on Victory embankment, 9 - B in LLC "Gidroproektbud."
