Essay

Object: The Order of Friars Minor in Russ in the first third of the XIII – the first third of the XV centuries. Objective: comprehensive study of Franciscan missions in Russ in XIII – the first third of XV centuries. Methods: logical, structural, classification, statistics, comparative, systematic, chronological, prosopography and localization. Results: for the first time, involving new sources singled out part of Friars Minor in the coronation negotiations of Danylo Romanovich with the papacy in the middle of the XIII century, renovated little known facts of monastic life of Minorites in Lviv, Halych, Przemysl, Krosno et al., played missionary activity of OFM, reflected in political, social, economic and cultural life of Russ, analyzed the role of the Franciscan missionaries in politics of dynasties Piast, Anjou and Yagellones on Russ, on the basis of available sources, especially from monastic archives, analyzes identity (mainly ethnic) monks in force in Russ, improved through working of archival sources and sfragistic material research of appearance of monastic cells of Russ Vicariate, factual component of church lawsuits between the secular clergy and mendicants of Lviv, mainly on the participation and representation of Friars Minor. Scope of application: for writing of cultural, religious-church, editions on historiography and local history of medieval history of Catholicism and the Franciscan movement in Central and Eastern Europe in general and Ukraine in particular, for preparation of university courses in theoretical teaching, tourism and local history and educational work.
