Lehenchenko V. The relationships of large-foundations settlements, located on soil layer of finite thickness

The thesis is devoted tо determining the relationships between development of large-foundations settlements and geometry and geological settings, further improving current foundations settlements calculation methods on this basis and improving national standards to the international standards. A relationship between average rock massif settlements with round and square bottom foundations, which are located on the soil layer of finite thickness, and their settlements calculated using halfspace hypothesis was obtained. The relationships are generalized and relationship of average settlements of finite thickness layer accounting shear stresses at the contact of crushed soil and rigid underlying layer is established. The approach of foundation settlements calculation for the foundations with a width from 0.8 to 68 m is proposed. Its feature is accounting the scale factor and structural features of the soil thickness. Obtained relationships are used in approach for deformations soil bases determination and they are implemented in calculation of slab foundation settle-ment of 12-th floor residential complex in Cherkasy city, Gogol str., 261, LLC "BEST ENGINEERING Ukraine."
