Korohod I. The role of small business in the structural transformation of regional economic systems

The thesis is a manuscript, which deals with the justifying of theoretical and methodological principles of the development of small business and practical recommendations to enhance its impact on the structural transformation of regional economic systems. The dissertation reveals the economic essence and content of small business in the transformational processes. There is offered the classification of small enterprises in the dissertation, summarized the principles of operation and development of small business, substantiated methodical approach to assessing the impact of small businesses on the structural transformation of regional economic systems. Theoretically substantiated and practicality proven changing trends of regional development through introduction of a functional model of development management business in transformation processes based on effective interaction between business, local authorities and civil society towards structural modernization as a catalyst for increasing competitive advantages in both domestic and foreign markets.
