Essay

The thesis is devoted to the improvement of acoustic methods for determining the type and size of defects, such as integrity disruption of the long-term operation of steel structures. The analysis of the actual state of long-term use of metal structures and problems arising in the course of their operation, and controls was conducted. The study of ultrasonic phased array parameters, which provide high sensitivity and improved performance of ultrasonic testing for the control of metal structures was conducted. The experimental confirmation of theoretical studies increase the sensitivity and informativeness control with ultrasonic phased array was held. The method of determining ultrasonic phased array resolution and sensitivity was developed. The method of experimental studies of industrial facilities using ultrasonic phased array and methods of identifying and determining the type of defects of continuitydisruption was presented.
