Essay

Object of research - the process of three-dimensional scenes visualization computer system. The purpose - improving the performance of forming three-dimensional images through the development of new methods and hardware solutions for computer systems forming realistic graphics. Research methods - methods of the theory of imaging, image processing theory concerning the sampling and interpolation theory of colorimetry, perception theory, the theory of parallel algorithms and design theory of computing devices in the FPGA. Equipment - personal computers, NeClus cluster with MIMD-architecture. Theoretical and practical results - developed and adapted for the cluster DonNTU NeClus with MIMD-architecture software component that allowed to establish the dependence of the time of formation of three-dimensional image of the interpolation step, the maximum coefficient differences in the color and the number of parallel threads; software implemented the proposed method of post-processing the generated three-dimensional images on a MIMD-architecture, which allowed to establish the dependence of the time of formation of the image interpolation step and the number of parallel threads; conducted expert assessment threshold color intensity and ratio of maximum color differences, thus improving the quality of the generated image. Novelty - improved method of increasing the productivity of the formation of three-dimensional images, which in contrast to the existing uses pixel segments or blocks and adds the inter-pixel interpolation to the end of the current ray tracing or a group of rays, which increases the performance of the method up to 16%; further developed the method of post-processing the image formed on the basis of backward ray tracing, which is in contrast to existing uses or lowercase block interpolation, which allows to increase the speed of image formation; It was further developed by the structural organization of the formation of three-dimensional images based on FPGA-ray tracer, which is in contrast to the existing device contains lowercase or block interpolation, which improves performance imaging. The degree of implementation - the results of the research are used in the Donetsk National Technical University in the development of software systems, the formation of three-dimensional computer images.
