Dissertation is devoted to defining the characteristics of spatial rigidity and stability of rail strings in their cramped twisting curves of a typical modern rigid and elastic rail fastening depending on operating conditions. The paper presents scientific problem solving joint impact of horizontal and vertical transverse forces while twisting rail track work strands with different designs of rail fasteners in operation of railways of Ukraine. The solution to this problem is made using complex theoretical, experimental and operational research. Experimental study of characteristics of horizontal transverse stiffness of rail strings for different designs of rail fasteners in operation of railways of Ukraine. The technique and performed theoretical calculations to determine the characteristics of spatial rigidity and stability of rail strings when they bend in the vertical and horizontal planes and with their simultaneous compressed torsion under wheel loads, as well as work performed theoretical calculations to determine stresses and strains in the head and sole rails to a new method for rails type Р65, UIC60, Р50 at various designs of modern rail fasteners on concrete and wooden sleepers.
