Essay

The thesis is devoted to more effective diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in combination with fibromyalgia by distinguishing clinical features of disease, central sensitization of resistance predictors' markers to drug therapy and inclusion of pregabalin in complex treatment. It is established that FM is a common comorbid condition among patients with rheumatoid arthritis, which can modify the course of RA and worsen the clinical response to treatment. Comorbidity with FM simulates a higher activity of disease by increasing the number of painful joints and the patient's general assessment of the disease activity. It is established that elevated levels of BDNF in the blood plasma are a marker of central sensitization for the patients with RA and resistance predictor to treatment. It was shown that the addition of pregabalin 150 mg twice a day for 12 weeks to standard therapy significantly increases the effectiveness of standard therapy for the patients with RA FM.
