Essay

The thesis focuses on biochemical markers and the peculiarities of cytokine regulation in peripheral blood and breast milk of females, suffering from lactostasis and lactation mastitis. It has been established that mammary gland inflammation entails the increased production of ceruloplasmin, haptoglobin, C-reactive protein, procalcitonin, increase of A, G class immunoglobulin contents, of circulating immune complexes in blood serum, as well as of IgА, sIgА, IgG and lactoferrin in breast milk. The obtained results are the evidence of the increase of ІL-1?, ІL-8, ІL-10 levels, the changes of leukocyte markers indices, of СD4+-lymphocytes contents reductions and of the immunoregulatory index decrease at lactation mastitis.
