The object of research - green areas of settlements Cherkassy region, their species composition, phytocoenotic structure and separate composite elements. The aim - establishing and analysis of the planting species composition, clarifying it's dynamic in space and time, developing the ways of increasing their stability, durability and phytomelioration efficiency in conditions of Cherkassy region. Scientific novelty - for the first-time complex research of ancient and modern gardens and parklands of Cherkassy region populated areas was conducted; the species variety plantations was established, their floral structure was conducted, aesthetic evaluation of tree plantations was conducted; age-periodic cycles of park communities were established and options for the formation of phytocenoses analogy were proposed.
