Essay

The оbject of research: fuel combustion control process in boilers of small and medium power. The purpose of research: to increase the energy efficiency of low and medium power boilers and reduction of harmful emissions into the atmosphere. Methods of research: methods of data-measuring system theory; methods of random processes; methods of mathematical statistics; methods of physical modeling and mathematical modeling. Theoretical and practical results and innovations: simulation model control and model of fuel combustion control process was proposed; the method to determine gas concentration in air on the basis of meteorological environmental parameters was developed; the method to determine excess air coefficient as informative parameter of fuel combustion process control was improved; the software to control excess air ratio in boiler units exhaust gases was created; new methods and ways of measuring oxygen level in air were developed; methods, algorithm and programs implemented in created computer control system of fuel combustion process were developed. The subject and the degree of application: the results were used in LTD SWP Mashinobuduvannia, PE Poltava-Teploprylad, PF "Scientific and Technical Center for Energy Instrumentation of the IET of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine" and on theoretical and applied physics department of National aviation university. Effectiveness of implantation: the great ecological and economic effect based on reduction of CO and NOх emissions with flue gases to the atmosphere and increase of boiler unit efficiency was received. Using area: boiler units of low and medium power in communal and industrial thermal power engineering.
