The thesis is devoted to increasing the efficiency of grinding the ends of oriented parts with profiled grinding wheels. A modular 3D modeling of the profiles of circles, removal of stock and shaping at two-sided grinding of round and non-round ends of parts is developed. The influence of the angular orientation of a part with a non-circular profile on the geometrical accuracy of the shaping of the end surfaces is analyzed. When processing the crosses of cardan shafts, the effect of the orientation of grinding wheels on the accuracy of shaping of the end surfaces was investigated. In calculating the productivity of processing, wear, cutting forces, power and heat flux at end grinding, coefficients that take into account the heating temperature of parts and the total compliance of the AIDS system are added. It is proposed to perform the profiling of tools in the calibrating sections for each processing allowance, starting with the smallest, which provides a saving of abrasive, an increase in the efficiency of using grinding wheels and high precision of the machined end surfaces of the parts. New effective methods for face grinding of parts with oriented profiled grinding wheels have been developed.
