This thesis concerns the study of the Late Trypillian population that inhabited Kyiv Dnieper region in 3600–2900 BC. This issue was aimed in numerous studies, but it still requires an attention, because some new archaeological records and research methods enable became available. The author found the correlation between climate and transformations in material culture. The rich flora and fauna, as well as topographical peculiarities of Kyiv Dnieper region affected the formation of economic and sociodemographic features of the Late Trypillian communities. The study of ceramic complexes allowed the more precise determination of relative chronology and colonization of the region, as well as the sources of cultural influences, which shaped the local groups. Completion of C I stage marked with total extinction of the East Trypillia development line. The beginning of C II stage is associated with the common cultural impacts of the Late Trypillia from the Pruth-Dniester interfluve. The analysis of the production tools and implements reveals that Lukashi population had followed the agro-pastoral practices of the developed Trypillia, with the exception of increase in hunting. Sofiivka groups were haracterized by incorporation into the 18 badenisation process common for overall for Eastern Europe of the beginning of the Bronze Age. This is seen in the strengthening of patriarchal society and cattle breeding, as well as outspread of the new types of utensils, tools, and practices from the CarpathianDanube region.
