Essay

Thesis deals with the changes of NO-synthase activity in the pathogenesis of endogenous intoxication in septic complications of acute cholecystitis. It was established the NO-synthase activity and nitric oxide metabolites content (NO2- and NO3-) increase in all groups of patients. The highest rates of NOS-system activity established in patients with bile peritonitis (sepsis). The increase of endogenous intoxication is confirmed by neutrophilic leukocytosis, leukocyte index of intoxication, increase of MSM, CIC, urea, bilirubin, AST and ALT activity and lower total protein and albumin. The high concentration of IgA and IgG describes immunoreactivity. Prokalcytonin level indicates the possibility of septic process. The results suggest that changes in activity of NOS-system directly proportional to the severity of complications and generalization of the process
