Essay

Complex morphological investigation was conducted to improve the differential pathomorphological diagnostic of meningiomas. It was revealed that anaplastic meningiomas, unlike benign, are characterized by a significantly higher expression level of VEGF, VEGFR-1, MMP-9 and CK AE1/AE3 and also a lower expression level of в-catenin and EMA.Atypical and anaplastic meningiomas were characterized by ultrastructural polymorphism with a significant reduction of cell-cell contacts.Area of connective tissue and expression level of MMP-9,VEGF and VEGFR-1 are among the important prognostic parameters in meningiomas.
