The thesis is devoted to environmental and hygienic assessment of soil contamination by refined products in the large industrial cities and scientific substantiation of hygienic standards of ?diesel-fuel oil in ordinary black soil and optimal practices for biological remediation of contaminated soils. It is established that in the absence of mining and processing of refined products in the city of Dnepr, sources of soil pollution with these substances can be objects of refined products supply, that are all enterprises associated with the storage and refining of oil and sewage, transportation of refined products and their consumption, as well as almost all types of modern automobile, water, air, railway transport. It is justified that the maximum allowable concentration (MAC) of diesel-fuel oil in the ordinary black soil at the level of the smallest of the set threshold concentrations is 1000,0 mg/kg using translocational (phytotoxic) indicator of harm (phytotoxic). The feasibility of the differential application of combined adsorbents for biological remediation of soils at the location of the accidental loss of products it is proved in situ and laboratory experiment. It is recommended on the basis of an installed sanitary standard system of measures to prevent and/or eliminate the negative effects of oil pollution of soils of different functional zones of the settlements depending on the frequency of exceedances of the proposed MAC.
