Essay

The process of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church in 1945 – 2016 was researched. Geographic spread of Orthodox churches in the territory of the Republic of Poland was analyzed. The legal basis for the functioning of the Orthodox denomination in the country with the dominant religion - Catholicism were studied. The institutional development of the Orthodox Church in the conditions of the communist regime in Poland was mentioned. It was proved that the religious institution is an active member of the cultural sphere of the state in which it takes place.
