Kovalchuk L. Poetics of Western Polissya wedding folklore (regional specificity).

Thesis – is the first comprehensive study of regional specificity of wedding folklore poetics in Western Polissya. A significant amount of previously unpublished material, including field records, stored in archival collections introducedin the scientific circulation. In this paper, based on archaeological, historical and ethno culturaldata were specified the limits of the Western Polissya as a folklore region. The study highlights the Western Polissya wedding folklorehistory.Based on the song texts reconstructed the content and dynamic evolution of Western Polissya wedding ceremony, set the timing and sequence of each of the wedding rituals.
