Essay

Object – the sanitary condition dynamics of pine trees, damaged by surface fire; aim – postpyrogenic growth of Scots pine stands damaged by surface fires in the Left-bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine; methods – comparative ecology, forestrycal, taxational, biometrical, statistical; novelty – proved that the predominant type of damage after surface fires depends on the age of pine stands and characteristics of fires;the criteria which determined likelihood of pine trees mortality in the stands from different groups of age; defined volumes of post pyrogenic mortality in stands depending on age, taxational indicators, value of damage and season; determined that middle-aged pine stands are more resistant to fire damage than older ones; results – the effect of different types of post pyrogenic damage on the trees condition in different seasons and ontogenesis of a pine. Amount of trees mortality in pine stands, depending on the type and value of damage, morphometric characteristics and age of the trees was determined. Predictive model probability of trees mortality for pine stands damaged after surface fires was developed; sphere of application – forestry.
