Essay

The research is devoted to the study of socio-psychological adaptation of external freewill migrants in the megacity by means of interpersonal and intercultural interaction of leisure-dancing practices. There are shown the mechanisms of stylistic improvisation in dance, which reflect the main tendencies of the process of adaptation of freewill migrants: self-actualization, subcultural identification, emotional attunement. The role of improvisation according to the chosen style of dance in the groups with the locals as a mean of development of adaptive abilities of migrants in a wider social context is singled out.
