Essay

The three-volume edition of Lemko folklore "Sanockie - Kronieskie" is fully analyzed. The work of O. Kolberg is one of the most comprehensive and thoroughly studied and investigated collection of Lemko folklore. Dramatic processes after the Second World War dramatically affected the cultural environment of the region. After Lemkos' relocation, their local customs, rituals, songs and a whole range of traditional folk art were practically lost.
