Essay

The research is dedicated to an improvement of efficacy of combined treatment in patients with metastatiс brain tumors basing on optimization of post-operational anti-tumorous therapy with evaluation of quality of life and prognostic criteria of the disease. Active cohort randomized study including retro- and prospective, cross-sectional and dynamic components has been performed involving 176 patients, 96 males and 80 females at age of 56 years with adeonarcinomas, melanoblastomas and sarcomas. Sources of metastases were: lungs (39), breast (34), skin (25) kidneys (9), gastrointestinal tract (11), ovary and uterus (4 cases of each), thymus (2), nasolarynx and pronaus (1 cases of each). The enhancement of diagnosis and treatment tactics for metastatic brain tumors has got a further development with taking into account of clinical and pathomorphological data, results of additional methods of investigations. Discriminant models of choice of post-operational tactics, prognostic algorithm of unfavourable outcome risk evaluation after treatment have been developed. Approbation of the algorithm allowed to establish its sensitivity (69,2 %), specificity (95,2 %), positive predictive value (75,0 %), negative predictive value (93,7 %).
