The study is dedicated to the process of enhancing regional policy of forming institutional and economic mechanism for regulating retail trade at the regional level. The subject of the study - theoretical and methodical bases, practical tools and means of improving the regional policy of forming institututional and economic mechanism for regulating retail trade development in Transcarpatian region. Structural and systemic aspects of formation of institutional and economic mechanism for retail trade regulation at the regional level are studied, its current state and development tendencies at the meso-level are estimated.The priorities of the regional policy, institutional and organizational economic instruments for balanced development of retail trade at the regional level are defined.
