Essay

During the prenatal period of ontogenesis in the fetus of domestic swine two structural and functional forms of the bone marrow (BM) are present: osteoblastic (bone formation) and hematopoietic (blood formation); the structural and functional transformation of the above forms take place in parallel but with different speed and vectors of the direction. The main structural components of BM in the fetus of domestic swine within the bone marrow cells and the osteosynthesis centers of the bone organs are in certain patterns and are directly related to the quantitative dynamics of tissue components of the BM. Both parts of the incomplete structure with vague borders and lobes with clear contours of radial beams of hepatocytes and separated from each other by the thickened connecting tissue are formed in the liver of the foetus of domestic swine, especially at from the age of 3 months in the background of almost complete disappearance of the hemopoiesis centers. The main structural and functional characteristics of the bone marrow of the fetus of domestic swine are: the localization of the main islets of the skeleton ossification in the spongiform bone substance, clearly expressed morphological heterogenity, zonal structure of the hematopoietic BM with the presence of islet and diffuse islet, topographically separated sites.
