Essay

A mathematical simulation of the motion of the neutral surface of the transformable-volume structure (TVS) shell is performed, the result of which is used to specify the reference surface for kinematic modeling of its stress-strain states in the process of compact folding. The concept of the influence of parameters of pulsed methods of heat introduction during micro plasma welding on quality characteristics, plasticity and strength of welded joints of foil materials for TVS shells of space technique is expanded. Methods for modifying the surface of thin-walled metallic shells made of stainless steel have been developed, which make it possible to increase the TVS stability margin for space applications without changing their mass and compactness. For the first time, the possibility of a complete transformation of a new prospective structure of a double-walled TVS of conical type to its design dimensions has been proved. For the first time, the possibility and conditions for the stability of the complete inverse transformation of a multi-section TVS of conical type have been experimentally confirmed.
