Yakusheva O. Economic Development and Support of Small and Medium-Sized Business on Regional Level

The nature of support for small and medium businesses is described and its priority components are formed. The author develops a map for comparing indicators of small and medium business development and regional economic development. A complex procedure for assessing small and medium business development in Cherkasy region is substantiated. The methodology for evaluating the economic development of small and medium-sized businesses in the regions of Ukraine is developed. The concept of equalizing economic development of small and medium business is formulated. The strategic coordinate plane of regional convergence is adapted and strategic directions in which the regions of Ukraine are approaching the convergence are mapped onto it. The author offers practical tools in terms of applying management technologies to stimulate small and medium-sized businesses that are based on applying the scenario method, the theory of polarization and forecasting the market size of small and medium-sized businesses. The implementation of the optimistic scenario for the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Cherkasy region based on the Saaty method is reasoned.
