Thesis for a Candidate Degree in Economics, specialty 08.00.05 - Development of Productive Forces and Regional Economics. - Chernihiv National University of Technology of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Chernihiv, 2017. In the dissertation work the theoretical and methodological bases of formation and functioning of the food complex and its modernization potential in new economic conditions are generalized. The essence and content of the potential of modernization of the food complex are described, its features and its correlation with the processes of reforming, reorganization, restructuring, reconstruction are described. The system of principles of development has been expanded and systematic methodical approaches to the evaluation of the functioning of the food complex and its modernization potential. The formation and formation of new progressive integrated organizational forms of the food complex of modernization type is characterized. The level of development of the food complex of the country and its regions has been analyzed and zoning of the territory has been carried out on the condition of its modernization potential. The organizational and economic mechanism for ensuring stable development of the food complex on the basis of strengthening its modernization potential is developed. The strategic directions of development of the modernization potential of the food complex and the mechanism of their implementation are substantiated.
