Makedon H. Influence of consumption and savings of households on modernization of regional economic systems

The dissertation is a manuscript, which substantiates the theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation of consumption and savings of households and develops practical recommendations for their participation in the modernization of regional economic systems. The paper reveals the economic essence of the categories of consumption and savings, presents the main factors of influence on these processes, generalizes the principles of formation and proposes a methodical approach to the assessment of the impact of households on the development of regional economic complexes. The practical feasibility of influencing the operation of households for the modernization of regional economic systems based on effective interaction of the business environment, public and territorial formations, the institutional environment, state policy and regional management for the sustainable development of territorial communities and enhancement of their competitiveness is theoretically substantiated and proved.
