Essay

The purpose of the work is to substantiate the criteria for forecasting hazardous zones in gas-dynamic manifestations in coal and gas fields to improve the safety of miners and the efficiency of degassing. The object of research is the geomechanical processes of formation of geophysical fields in a coal-bearing massif. The subject of the study is the patterns and criteria characterizing the zones dangerous for gas-dynamic manifestations. Methods of research. In order to achieve the goal and to perform the tasks, a complex of research has been carried out, including: studying the laws of the change in the physical and mechanical properties of the zones dangerous for the gas - dynamic manifestations in the sandstones in the unbroken carbon - bearing massif. The scientific significance of the work is to establish: - regularities of the change in the physical and mechanical properties of sandstones in hazardous gas-dynamic manifestations of the mountain range, and the spatio-temporal regularities of the amount and intensity of seismic phenomena during mining operations characterized by fractal dimension, the magnitude of which is a complex integral indicator that takes into account the entire set of seismic events in an array and can be considered a criterion for the danger of gas-dynamic manifestations. The results obtained during the research are included in the "Recommendations on Application of the express method for predicting methane accumulation zones in the coal and gas deposits of the Donbas by geological and geophysical methods ", which were transferred to the Dniprogeophysics State Hydropower Plant, and to" Recommendations on the express method for predicting methane accumulation zones in the coal-rock massif of the Donbas by geological and geophysical methods at the site No. 2 mines "West Donbass", transferred to the mine management "Ternovskoe" and to the mine "Northern" of the State Enterprise "Toretskvugillya." Implementation of the proposed methodology for determining the zones dangerous for gas-dangerous manifestations, d deigned to receive economic benefit in the amount of 147.8 thousand. UAH.
