Essay

Object: China in the system of international relations and world politics. Purpose: comprehensive generalization of the foreign policy strategies of the People's Republic of China during the reign of Mao Zedong (1949-1976). Methods: structural-functional analysis, comparative, extrapolation, diachronic and synchronous. Results: for the first time the peculiarities of the foreign policy sphere of the People's Republic of China under Mao Zedong's reign in the context of the Cold War between the US and the USSR, in particular the geopolitical bipolarity of the world were analyzed; large number of foreign sources were introduced into the scientific circulation that allowing to get acquainted with the leading Anglo-Saxon and American approaches to Mao's political cult. Zedong, one of the most well-known forms of the world communist movement was considered, based on the ideology of Maoism, in comparison with the main aspects of Soviet socialism; the influence of the historical factor on the real state of the Ukrainian-Chinese intergovernmental dialogue, the presence of problematic issues that impede the development of bilateral cooperation, the main directions of the foreign policy of the People's Republic of China during the specified period and their place in the geopolitical space, the role and place of destructive factors of China's foreign policy of modern times, in particular the period of "four modernizations" were improved. Scope of use: in preparation of generalization works from world history, special studies of Ukrainian-Chinese, Sino-American relations of the modern age.
