Object: international relations of the 90's. XX - beginning of the XXI century. in the Arctic region. In the dissertation the international relations in the Arctic in the 90's of the 20th - the beginning of the 21st century were comprehensively studied. Considered the policy of the leading northern states: USA, Canada, Russia, Norway, Denmark, PRC. Considerable attention is paid to the study of the evolution of the policy of the Arctic Council, and its ability to respond to new challenges and risks that have emerged in the region at the beginning of the 21st century has been analyzed.
