Boiko O. Pathomorphology of the coronaty arteries in fetuses, infants, children of different age groups

Dissertation is dedicated to the research of the pathomorphological features of congenital and acquired coronary artery diseases in childhood. The clinical and pathomorphological features of the orphan coronary artery diseases in children are clarified. The frequency and nature of the distribution of coronary artery anomalies in the structure of congenital heart defects in autopsy material over a 35-year period (from 1981 to 2016) were determined. The knowledge of the pathomorphology of coronary arteries in coronaritis in childhood is supplemented, in particular, Kawasaki disease. A new phenomenon of fibromuscular dysplasia with transmural lesion of the coronary arteries was identified. The technique of postmortem angiographic examination of blood vessels is improved. The main pathomorphological differential diagnostic criteria have been established for coronary artery diseases in childhood.
