The object of the investigation - sepsis in the affected with a polytrauma; the purpose is to increase the survival rate of the victims with a polytrauma and sepsis by creating a scientifically substantiated clinical and diagnostic treatment scheme aimed at eliminating and reducing the influence of the causative factors of the onset of the fatal outcome of the traumatic process; methods - clinical, laboratory, immunological, clinical-expert, medical nonparametric statistics; novelty and results - for the first time clinical and epidemiological and clinical and nosological characteristics of the traumatic process in patients suffering from polytrauma and sepsis were determined; the reaction of markers of inflammation on the development of sepsis in patients suffering from polytrauma was verified; the possibilities of humoral factors in the early diagnosis of sepsis among the victims with a polytrauma are determined; scientifically substantiated, developed and implemented clinical and diagnostic scheme of treatment of sepsis, the application of which leads to increased survival and reduced mortality among patients with polytrauma and sepsis; introduced - in the educational process at the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, Department of Disaster Medicine of the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Department of Traumatology, Orthopedics and Military Field Surgery of the Ivan Gorbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University, in the practice of the department of traumatology of the "Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital - Emergency and Emergency Medicine Center", the department of polytrauma of the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital of Emergency Medical Care, the Traumatology and Orthopedics Department of the Vinnitsa Regional Clinical Hospital Named After M. I. Pirogov, Department of Traumatology of the Zhytomyr City Hospital № 2; the application area is the medical and diagnostic process of specialized traumatological departments, emergency medical centers, scientific and pedagogical processes of the departments of traumatology and orthopedics, military field surgery, emergency medical aid, anesthesiology and reanimatology of medical educational institutions.
