Avershyn A. The perfection of aerodynamic performance of cars for sports by numerical methods and model experiment

The thesis is devoted to: questions of external and internal aerodynamics of cars for sports. Numerous and natural experiments were carried out on the basis of cars of Hadi-25,31,33,34 of the laboratory of high-speed cars of the Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University. Particular attention is paid to the issues of aerodynamic improvement of the rear diffuser, front and rear antikry, radiator compartment. The paper presents the results of aerodynamic studies in the form of tables and charts. The estimation of influence of various factors on aerodynamic properties of racing cars is given and ways of their improvement are offered. For field tests of a racing car, a direct method of road tests has been used. An important place in the work is comparing the numerical experiment with the real. Also, the experience of designing the body of a racing car with ultralow aerodynamic resistance HADI-34 is considered in the work. The practical significance of the results of the dissertation work is to use the obtained solutions for the improvement of existing racing cars of the formula E-8, as well as to create new models of racing cars, which allows to significantly increase the power and running quality, taking into account the projected operating loads and speeds.
