Essay

Total proton-proton interaction cross-sections energy dependence was described and successfuly predicted. Differential proton- and antiproton-proton scattering cross-sections were described using unitarized Regge models. Scattering amplitude dependence on impact parameter was reconstructed and violation of black disk limit was shown. It was shown that charged-particle multiplicity distributions have two-component behavior and do not correspond to earlier predictions, in particular they do not show scaling behavior. Phenomenological model was developed that describes multiplicity distributions in limited phase space regions of final state using singular model distribution in full phase space.
