The dissertation is dedicated to solution of scientific problem of decreasing of speed fluctuation of reciprocating internal combustion engine by improving the flywheel design. There was build mathematical model, of calculation equivalent moment of inertia of internal combustion engine's crank mechanism be function of design mass-geometrical parameters and analysed influence of them. There was proposed to estimate changing of equivalent moment of inertia of crank mechanism by coefficient di and changing of position of centre of mass by coefficient dc. There were presented experimental results of speed fluctuation for engines MeMZ-2457 and FP10C at different operation modes. There were build regression models for them and check their adequacy. Design of variable flywheel for one cylinder four-stroke internal combustion engine FP10C was creating, determinate that proposed variable flywheel makes decrease speed fluctuation and improve fuel economy of engine.
