Essay

The thesis presents a complex investigation of parameters of endogenous intoxication, proteinase-inhibitor equilibrium of key components of hemostasis, and receptor response of blood cells in laryngeal cancer patients. We demonstrate the superfluous increase in total and catabolic levels of intermediate mass molecules in blood plasma and on erythrocyte glycocalyx irrespective of the cancer stage. We found imbalance in free amino acid content of blood serum from laryngeal cancer patients. We demonstrate that progression of the pathology in laryngeal cancer patients is associated with intensification of free-radical peroxidation and high load on antioxidant defense system, as well as changes in structural and dynamic properties of erythrocyte plasma membrane
