Karpyn N. Species of the genus Tilia L. in the greenery in Lviv

The object of the study - species, subspecies and cultivars of the genus Tilia in the green plantations of Lviv. The aim - is to identify diversity of species, adaptive potential and resistance of species of the genus Tilia to the conditions of the environment and evaluate their decorative and perspectives of use in green plantations of Lviv. Research methods - are dendrological, ecological, taxiation, biochemical, electrophysiological, spectrophotometric, light microscopy, statistical. Scientific novelty - was studied the modern wood-shrub's composition of street plantation in Lviv and were identified 80 species, which belong to 42 genera. They are dominated by taxa of the genera Tilia L., Acer L., Fraxinus L. and Aesculus L.; was studied taxonomic composition of the genus Tilia and identificated 12 species, 11 subspecies, 3 varieties and 5 cultivars; was studied the enzyme activity of the antioxidant system in the leaves of lindens and was determined the major species variability of catalase and peroxidase activity. Practical use - the results of determining of taxonomic diversity of the genus Tilia, the resistance of the genus Tilia's species and their adaptive capacity and decorative are the basis for developing measures for the selection and reconstruction of garden-park's objects, and also in the educational process. Field of use: garden-park managament.
