The dissertation substantiates the detailed stratification and biostratigraphic scale of the Cretaceous deposits of the Ukrainian Carpathians, based on the results of a comprehensive systematic and monographic study of the stalk-legged, bivalve, and cephalopod molluscs. The monographic description of 17 characteristic types of molluscs and an atlas of their images are given. The paleontological characterization of the Cretaceous deposits of the Ukrainian Carpathians according to the results of the revision and examination of the stratospheres and the basic cross sections, analysis and generalization of all available data on micro- and macrofossils and new own findings of the macro-fauna have been supplemented and refined. The stratigraphic and biosional schemes of the lower and upper chalk of the Ukrainian Carpathians have been developed and improved, according to the new data from the systematic composition of the Malacafauna complex. For the first time, for the Ukrainian Carpathians, the ground, the boundaries, the relative geological age and the lateral distribution of the Cretaceous stratigraphic units: the Stryan Svita in the Skibovoy zone, the Soymulian - in Marmara, and the Tysalska - in the Peninska, the Kamenopotik, Rakhiv, Belochisenska, Rakhiv - in Rakhiv area. The correlation of the Lower Cretaceous dark-colored deposits of the Rakhiv zone with the monolithic stratums of the Western (Polish, Czech and Slovak) and the Eastern (Romanian) Carpathians is substantiated. For the first time, the Early Cretaceous age of organogenic limestones in the Olistolites structurein the White Tysa basin was paleontologicallydiscovered, and new data on the early Cretaceous phase of volcanism in the Ukrainian Carpathians were obtained. The conditions of accumulation of precipitation in the chalk sea basin have been reproduced and the periodic of its historical development has been reconstructed, two periods of early-chalk history have been defined - before-flysch (berias-goteriv) and flysch (barem-alb). The results of the given investigation can be used during the geological place shooting and search-investigative works on different minerals (oil, gas, building materials, mineral waters) which are connected with exit line of chalk deposits. They are also of great interest for geologists who study tectonic, stratigraphy, volcanism and structurally-phase zoning of the Carpathian mountain building at general. Key words: suite, stratigraphy, biostratigraphy, chalk deposits, geological age, cretaceous, molluscs, Ukrainian Carpathians.
